Route 1: Twyfelfontein - Doros Crater Scenic Flight 
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes 
Route Overview: 
Departing from the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge Airstrip, this scenic flight showcases the rugged landscapes of Damaraland, including the impressive Doros Crater, Gai-As Fountain, and "Elephant Skin Mountain". Along the way, guests may spot the ruins of an unfinished lodge slowly being reclaimed by the desert. The flight concludes with a pass over the remote De Riet Settlement before returning to the airstrip.

Route 2: Twyfelfontein - Ugab River Scenic Flight 
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes 
Route Overview: Departing from the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge Airstrip, this scenic flight takes you over the Doros Crater, Messum Crater, ancient Welwitschia plants, Damaraland fairy circles, and the distinctive "Piano Keys" rock formation. Continue to the Skeleton Coast to view the Fukuseki Maru and Winston shipwrecks before following the coastline to the Ugab River Mouth. Returning inland via the Ugab River and Gai-As Fountain, this route showcases the diverse landscapes that make Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast so remarkable.

Route 3: Twyfelfontein – Toscanini Scenic Flight 
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes 
Route Overview: Departing from the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge Airstrip, this scenic flight takes you over the Doros Crater, Messum Crater, ancient Welwitschias, Damaraland fairy circles, and the distinctive "Piano Keys" rock formation before continuing to the Skeleton Coast. Fly past the Fukuseki Maru and Winston shipwrecks, the Ugab River Mouth, and Toscanini, before returning inland over the Huab River with its remarkable "elephant skin" landscape. This route showcases the striking geology, coastline, and remote wilderness that make Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast so unique.

The Best Time to Fly 

• Flights are scheduled according to weather conditions and the best available light. 
• The shorter Doros Crater route can be enjoyed shortly after sunrise or later in the afternoon. Flights continuing towards the Skeleton Coast are generally recommended during the late afternoon, when the softer light enhances the colours and textures of Damaraland. 
• All departure times remain subject to weather and operational conditions. 

• All scenic flights depart from the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge Airstrip. 
• Flights are subject to availability. 
• Guests should report to the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge reception at least 30 minutes before departure. After completing the necessary arrangements, your pilot will accompany you to the airstrip.
